Check Engine Light
Are you having check engine light issues? From oxygen sensor failure to ignition coil issues to faulty spark plug wires, we can help you fix them.
You are taking a road trip, when out of the blue, your vehicle makes a short, high-pitched noise and a small orange, engine shaped symbol turns on your car’s dashboard. This icon is the check engine light, also known as the emission control and malfunction indicator lamp. This symbol is programmed to illuminate on the dashboard when your car’s control unit detects a potential malfunction or issue with the vehicle. When you see this icon, you should get your vehicle checked out by a professional automotive repair shop or technician to avoid any unfortunate incidents and minimize damage to the rest of your vehicle.
If you are seeing your malfunction indicator lamp blinking continuously, it usually indicates a severe engine misfire, in which one or more of the engine’s cylinders stop functioning properly or fail to fire correctly. If this occurs, you should stop driving the car. If you keep driving and don’t take action, there might be irreversible damage to the catalytic converter, resulting in costly repairs.
Another culprit that can cause this issue is the faulty mass airflow (MAF) sensor, which may need to be replaced. The failure of a MAF sensor can increase emissions, force the engine to start or turn off, and decrease your gas mileage. If this issue is not fixed, it can also destroy oxygen sensors, catalytic converters, and spark plugs.
Our expert technicians, at Autopro Service Center, will inspect your vehicle for a bad fuel injector, broken piston rings and rods, faulty ignition coils, failed MAF sensors, bad spark plug wires, and vacuum leaks. They will perform check engine light diagnostics to identify the source of the problem. If any component is found broken or not functioning properly, they will replace the bad part and carry out any necessary repairs to fix your check engine light issues. Upon finding an issue with the MAF sensors, our technicians will replace the air filter and service the engine to improve the fuel efficiency and performance of your vehicle. Apart from inspecting your Check Engine Light, our experts will also review other lights, including:
- Check oil light/oil pressure
- Check engine
- Battery light
- Bulb monitoring
No matter what check engine light or malfunction indicator lamp issue you’ve got, Autopro Service Center can help you fix them all efficiently.
